For the first time, New Players Network, Germany’s largest InsurTech network, will host the Global InsurTech Roadshow (GIR) in Leipzig on 26 and 27 May 2020. At its third edition, insurers, start-ups, investors, industry players and journalists will meet for international exchange in a friendly atmosphere.
This year, Global InsurTech Roadshow will again delve deep into the digital ecosystem of the InsurTechs and bring its innovative players on stage to discuss innovations and technologies in the insurance sector. The 2020 edition is dedicated to the Baltic States and the CEE region. The aim of the event is to connect insurers with international start-ups and innovative, technology-driven players as well as to drive cooperation beyond national borders.
Packed with lightning talks, pitch sessions, and panel discussions, Global InsurTech Roadshow will cover a variety of topics, everything from scaling in the digital world and the future of insurtechs, to application programming interfaces (APIs).
On the second day of the event, Tomaž Volk, Founder of Adacta Fintech, will join Johannes Humbert, Project Lead Transformation of Wefox, and Pierre F. Suhrcke to discuss the role of APIs in the insurance industry.
Conceptualized in the 1960s, APIs have come a long way. Today, most of the modern business use APIs as a fast-track to efficiency, increased digital capabilities and better customer experience. Insurance is no exception. The emergence of pure digital insurers, whose business model is based on the API, shows the digital path for the entire industry in which APIs facilitate seamless integration among a broad range of insurance ecosystem players: insurers, partners, third-party developers, and perhaps even competitors.
The API-first strategy comes naturally to digital insurers while traditional insurance organizations are mostly building integration layers on top of legacy systems.
AdInsure’s out-of-the-box APIs solve the layering challenge. AdInsure APIs are automatically generated, covering everything from sales to claims management and reporting processes and other assets on the platform, to ensure they are built-in rather than layered on top of the core system.
