Valerija Marenče for Marketing Magazine: Working in international teams requires people to be open to new ideas, cultures and different ways of working

Marketing Magazin talked to some of these companies, including Adacta, about the skills they are developing for their IT professionals and how they feel about remote work in terms of the lack of human contact. Valerija Marenče, Head of Human Resources, Adacta, answered:

“In addition to the technical skills and the knowledge of the insurance industry, our company highly values and develops soft skills, where we focus mainly on improving communication, teamwork and public speaking.” The company begins soft skill training during its onboarding process. Valerija explained that the guided program contains a huge library of content, lots of internal knowledge sharing and individual mentoring.

 “Developing soft skills also improves our daily operations. Modern methodologies require excellent communication and flexibility, while work in international teams requires people to be respectful and open to new ideas, cultures and different approaches to working. Employees develop some skills spontaneously while others are learned during professional training and lectures covering individual topics. Soft skills have a powerful impact on the organizational climate, so we are especially pleased that even the most technology-focused experts are redirecting their focus on the development of non-technical skills.”
